2026 already?

Can’t believe its February, 2026 already. Like watching and then rewatching a David Lynch film, everything seems fuzzy and going a bit too fast.

FWIW, if you’re interested in your boy’s career, I’m doing pretty well. I sell cyber now and selling to IT folks is a whole different ballpark. I find the challenge to be, well, challenging. Its fun, tough, rewarding, and did I mention tough?

But anyone reading this who does sales already knows that. Sales is a profession thats easy to get into, hard to master, and even harder to stay level headed. Lot of sales Uncs out there with war stories and battle scars to prove it.

Just came back from a conference in Salt Lake (pic below) and it reminded me of a few things.

One - In person is the best. Getting to know people and talk face to face is unmatched.

Two - 4 hour layovers at O’Hare aren’t as fun as they seem.

Lastly, I’ll be picking up my writing more as we go through this year. I suppose that’s always the biggest challenge for writing. Staying consistent. But I mean it.

There’s a lot of bullshit online about a lot of things, and the sales profession is of course included. Do this. Do that. AI this. AI that. Use AI before you send an email. Use AI to fix your grammar. Blah blah blah. Its just bs.

Lets make 2026 the year of fun. Have fun, be yourself, make a ton of sales, and make a ton of money.

P.S. - For my music recommendation, check out Sevyn Streeter. She’s an older artist but came out with some good music recently. https://www.youtube.com/@sevynstreeter
