Interrupting your usual broadcasting here. This will be solely dedicated to sales. Mainly because I’ve had it up to my eyeballs in shitty sales stuff I see on LinkedIn.

Cold calling is dead. Cold emailing is dead. Doing X is dead. So much crap on LI chasing clout and followers. Its not helping anyone. And frankly, its a bunch of bullshit. Like Mr. Miyagi said in the Karate Kid: “Look past the Bullshit. And also, do that sick crane kick”

TL;DR: Here are my 2 tips for becoming great at it. See below:

1.) Go all in. Like, all in. I recently watched a video of an NFL draftee talk about football, and he said to be truly great, ball is life. Same in sales. All day everyday, practice. Read. Improve. Dedicate yourself to selling. Both selling in general (better calls, emails, etc), but also selling your product/service. It’s a unique sell, and you’ll need to master the intricacies of how you sell it. But, just go all in. Each and every day.

2.) Not rocket science, but outwork everyone. I think about my role constantly. Who my customers are. How I can reach them. What to say. How to book time with them. Because I’m obsessed with showing them beehiiv. When you represent something truly great, its your mission to show the whole world what they can do with your product/service. But this means constant work. Late nights. Weekends. Social visits.
Always: Thinking. Tinkering. Social. Phone. Snail mail. Its a Mamba Mentality that gives you the edge, even if you might be a little rough around the edges.

And, my very last words to everyone. Please be different. Be yourself. Stand out. Do something fun. You might book a meeting using AI/automated emails/etc…But when you get to that actual person on the other end, be human. Always be human. And if you need reminding of that, check out my mentor Dale Dupree. Dale is so unique, but his connection he makes with others (prospects, or people in general), has given him 100x back what he puts in.

Dale is just….Hilarious
